In addition to the presentation of special awards for achievements in business and community service, the gala is an opportunity to network with potential partners, enjoy a delicious dinner and listen to a stimulating keynote speech presented by Dennis Poon, Vice Chairman of Thorton Tomasetti and winner of our 2010 NJCACC Corporate Executive Award. Mr. Poon was recently featured in the episode “Skyscraper of the Future” from the series “Impossible Engineering” on Discovery Channel regarding the design and building of the Shanghai Tower (“one of the world’s most distinctive and innovative super tall buildings”). Earlier this year, at 2,073 feet, the Shanghai Tower became China’s tallest building and the second tallest building in the world.
